 | Executive Director Terri Novacek Ms. Novacek has worked in education nearly thirty years. After ten years in traditional classrooms, she resigned to run a tutoring business and home-school her own children. It was then that her educational philosophy experienced a great transformation as she witnessed how much more inspiring and effective education can be when it is personalized to the student.  | Roland Yung Director of Academic Planning Roland Yung has been in involved in various aspects of education for over 10 years. His experience in education includes working in public, private, and charter schools as well as independent study, online, hybrid, and site-based programs. Roland joined DCS in 2006 and is amazed at what is accomplished daily at DCS through the partnership between the student, the parent, and the EF.  | Doug Miller Director of Business Administration As the Director of Business Administration, Mr. Miller brings over 15 years of financial management experience and expertise to Dehesa Charter School with over 5 of those years in the public finance environment. In this role, Mr. Miller directs all financial aspects of the DCS business department including accounting practices, budgeting, financial planning, interface with the financial community, financial analysis, and monitoring of financial performance.  | Shawn Priest Director of Technology Mr. Priest began his career in public education, teaching for over 10 years. He left education and went on to manage computer networks in the private sector. At Dehesa Charter School, Mr. Priest enjoys the best of both professions. He is responsible for the direction of technology at DCS, incorporating new systems into the educational offerings, as well as ensuring DCS remains on pace with the rapid advance of educational technology.  | Nicole Antifae Executive Assistant/HR Manager Nicole has worked for Dehesa Charter School since November 2010 and is responsible for human resources, marketing/pr, and vendor services. Before working at DCS, Nicole worked for the United States Marine Corps in the education field while continuing her own education. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in December 2008 and later completed her Master’s degree in Public Administration in March 2010.  | Arti Dua Guidance Counselor Arti Dua has worked for Dehesa since 2008 as the Academic Counselor. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications and a Master’s in Educational Counseling. Prior coming to Dehesa, Arti served as the Director of the GEAR UP program at CSU San Marcos and also worked as an adjunct Counselor at Mira Costa Community College. She currently sits on the UCSD Admissions panel and has a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. |
 | Tracy Goettsch Resource Center Manager Tracy has been with Dehesa Charter School for six years working as the Resource Manager. Her degree is in journalism and currently she is pursuing a degree in Library Technology. Tracy is knowledgeable on many levels with the curriculum Dehesa provides as she has had three children in the Dehesa program.  | Eva Arguilez Resource Center Assistant The Resource Center Assistant works with the Resource Manager in the organization and maintenance of the Resource Center. Including the purchasing, organization, and distribution of materials. After working 3 years in the Cal State University San Marcos Library, Eva Arguilez came to be part of the Dehesa family.  | Rhiannon Martin Finance Assistant Rhiannon has worked at Dehesa since October 2010 and enjoys working for this school. Before working here, she worked on and off as a teacher and substitute teacher. She also did bookkeeping for a company for 8 years. Rhiannon has a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a teaching credential in health sciences and sociology. She has been married for 11 ½ years and has two wonderful kids who are 8 and 10 years old.
