Grace Lim has been an Educational Facilitator with Dehesa Charter School since the 2006-2007 school year. Grace earned her B.A. degrees in English Literature and Political Science from UCSD with honors. She went on to receive her M.A. degree in Comparative Literature from the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at UCLA. She holds a Single Subject Credential in English from UCI with CLAD certification. For over fifteen years, Grace has been working with diverse learners both privately and in the public school setting. She has written and developed curricula for English learners and continues to give individualized instruction to students of all age groups. She is growing in her knowledge of how to best utilize online learning as a component in meeting learning goals. As part of the school’s Humanities Department, she collaborates with other Educational Facilitators to create goals and implement programs to improve reading and writing strategies across grade levels. She is passionate about encouraging the learning process and enjoys partnering with homeschooling parents who are committed to their children’s learning.
Grace has lived in Southern California for most of her life and enjoys many activities San Diego offers. She loves spending time with her husband and two children who enjoy sailing, surfing, and stand-up paddle boarding. She is actively involved in her local community and currently serves as a board member for the Solana Beach Foundation for Learning.
