Aquarium of the Pacific.pdf

What: This aquarium is home to 12,500 ocean animals. Come visit the exhibits and participate in one of three presentations that are geared toward students in grades K-12th. The presentations are 50 minutes long. K-2 "Story of Splashy" is an interactive program where the special adaptations of sea life are explored.

3rd-7th "Predators" you dive into an interactive program dealing with predators.

8th-12th "A Look Inside" where you will discover the ins and outs of interesting marine mammals, by dissecting a fish/squid. This program begins 11:30A.M.

What: Explore America’s multicultural legacy. Witness history as you journey through the Holocaust exhibit. Engage in interactive exhibits that explore the dynamics of prejudice and discrimination historically and today.

When: Friday, March 5, 2010 – Meet at 10:45 AM-Tour begins at 11AM

Water Conservation Garden.pdf

What: Join us for a guided tour of the Water Conservation Garden. Students will learn about plant adaptations, the water cycle and conservation, followed by a hands-on planting activity.

When: Friday, December 4th, 2009. We will meet at the main entrance at 9:15 a.m.

Western Center for Archeology Paleontology.pdf

What: Visit the Hall of Archeology to learn about prehistoric to early 1900’s local settlers of our area. See, touch and learn from real and replica fossils. Understand the work of archeologists and paleontologists. View "Echoes of the Past" and "Discovery and Recovery" in the immersion theater. Explore the Backyard Monsters exhibit, California’s Water Systems, the process of photosynthesis and many more exhibits and themes geared for all.

Whale watching.pdf

What: Enjoy a boat trip through Newport Harbor to view different marine animals in their natural surroundings. Some of the animals you will see are grey whales, dolphins, sea lions, porpoises, harbor seals, marine birds and other marine animals.

When: Friday, January 29, 2010. We will meet at 9:45 A.M.

This field trip will run approximately 2-2 ½ hours.

Zoo-Inside Story.pdf

What: The Inside Story—

Students learn the fundamentals of running a zoo: animal health care, exhibit design, feeding, breeding, and more via an exclusive bus tour. A Zoo educator, ready to answer your students' questions, will provide up-close animal encounters and behind-the-scenes visits.
